All that I know about Lowfire Clay was taught to me by Johanna Hansen , a talented local San Diego artist advanced in this medium that I have only dabbled in briefly.

The wetness, coolness, and acceptance of any physical impression you place upon this type of clay is what I find most alluring. Lowfire Clay is very different from the Polymer Clay that is also featured in this gallery. It is more sensuous; more receptive; heavier. One is not really better than the other, only different.
