Eve might fall into either the sculpture or a doll category (visit the Polymer Clay Doll Gallery)depending upon who is asked to define these categories. Many artists and artisans make the judgement that whenever hair is placed on a figure, it becomes a doll. I belong to another school of thought. I do not feel that hair automatically determines this. Some mediums are clearly defined but the lines become murky with mediums that tend to cross one another. Adam's Apple and Widow's Bed are two examples of pieces some would term sculpture while others would declare them to be dolls. Since I am the artist of these two, I call them sculptures.
