Drowsey
Dolls and Pals were originally called Sleepy Heads. However, someone
else coined the name for a doll that was mass produced so I changed
my littles ones to their current name of Drowsey Dolls.
This charming
bed was designed by me but would have never manefested if it were
not for my artisan brother (the humorous and ever entertaining Mike
Arras) who enjoys wood as one of his many interests and mediums
of choice!He
took my design and completely built the bed!
My Mom (the
beloved Carla Arras) and I painted it. The hearts were purchased
cutouts that were painted and glued to the bed. The same applied
to the round balls on the bed posts. My Mom crocheted the small
throw rug and did all of the sewing for the bedding and pillows.
The original
Sleepy Head Doll and Pal were entered in the Delmar Fair in San
Diego, California where they took first place for original doll
design.
